Where's Oracle Calendar?
Microsoft Exchange Server is the new calendaring standard at CSU
Oracle Calendar has been replaced by the combination of the central Exchange system and the existing Exchange systems that are operated by colleges and departments. As of May 1st, 2007, the Oracle Calendar system has been taken offline. No new appointments or meetings should have been scheduled in Oracle Calendar after January 1, 2007.
The Transition Plan
The model for transitioning away from Oracle Calendar to Exchange was discussed at length and it was ultimately decided to take a low-tech approach that has worked successfully at other universities: All meetings up to an agreed-upon date (for us, January 1, 2007) were to be scheduled in Oracle Calendar, and all meetings scheduled for after that date scheduled in the new Exchange system. This implies that for a (relatively short) period of time, access to both systems was required, but only as a one-time transition effort.
